The Black Soot and us

You must have heard about the black soot in the city of Port Harcourt. This scourge is terrible because everyone breathes in the polluted air and the soot

According to reports,this environmental hazard is caused by illegal refineries operated by some unscrupulous elements in the society.Also,we were told that a Chinese company was sealed because of it's hazardous emissions.

So,how does this soot manifest?

First,your tiles are covered with blackish stuff. You mop your tiles before you leave the house and few hours later,they are there again.

Secondly,your parked car has black particles on them.

The soles of your feet are black after matching on your floor.

Your windows and mosquito nets have black particles on them.

Everything is infact "sooted".

A Committee has been set up get to the root and immediate causes of this menace. We urge them to do this job without fear or favour.
